Decolonizing Your Mental Health Practice

What is the impact of white supremacy and other systems of oppression on our profession? The primary focus of this course is to equip participants with strategies to confront and decolonize their clinical practice and treatment of clients. Through engaging lecture, small group discussions, and case vignettes, participants will have the opportunity to gain insight into the ways oppressive systems shape our practice. The presenter will delve into practical, anti-oppressive approaches and interventions that clinicians can incorporate into their clinical mental healthcare practice. By fostering open dialogue and utilizing real-life case scenarios, participants will have the opportunity to actively apply their learning to their practice.
